    • Spanish Lecturer
      • Jul 2007 - Jun 2013

I taught all levels of Spanish language, including hybrid language and culture courses and heritage/bicultural courses. As Advanced Level Coordinator I created and managed courses designed to broaden linguistic, cultural, and historical knowledge of Hispanic regions, as well as developing skills in cross-cultural analysis. As communication courses, these classes developed composition and presentation skills in progressively more abstract and discipline-specific genres – moving from editorial opinion pieces, for example, toward researched defense of academic theses. Administratively, I delivered course content via Wordpress and managed course content, grading, and communication across several sections of Advanced levels I and II, and I developed collaboration forums with colleagues using Sakai platform and applications such as Wiki and Forums.
