During the summer between my eighth and ninth years of education, I participated in the Summer Law Institute under Legal Outreach. Over the span of five weeks, I underwent a rigorous course of understanding the criminal justice system and it's intricacies, eventually partaking in a mock trial at the end of the five weeks to demonstrate what had been accomplished at the Supreme Court of New York.
