  I started as a Developer when we were still KCS and were subsequently bought by Sage. We are a software house providing HR & Payroll software, I started using Progress Version 8. We are now using Progress OpenEdge Version 11.5.1. I have also been using Progress Rollbase Version 3.2 In my years at SAGE I have experienced many flavours of Progress technologies.  Progress Version 8 CHUI  Progress Version 9 GUI  Progress Version 10 GUI  Progress Webspeed  Progress ADM1 & ADM2 - Smart Objects  Progress Appserver programming  Producing PDFs from Progress applications using PDFTK  Openedge OOABL  Progress Batch Programming  Bulk emailing from a Progress Database I was instrumental in the HMRC RTI work which meant that we transfered employee data in XML format to the HMRC Portal. I was also involved in is the Pension Auto Enrolment processing following HMRC rules and guidelines. My latest project which I have designed and developed myself was a module which generated Payslip PDFs and then emailed them out to employees. This has brought in substantial revenue in a short period of time. After KCS was purchased by SAGE we had to link up the Progress Payroll Database to the HR SQL system using Open Client technology and ODBC.   Originally I was a Data Entry Clerk and then in March 1996 I was successful in becoming a Trainee Programmer at Securicor's Sutton Head Office. My duties were taking care of our internal systems. We used mainly UNIX Shell Script Programming and Progress 4GL. I looked after mainly CHUI systems migrating them through Progress versions 6, 7 and 8. I maintained one version 8 GUI system.
