In our Family Interaction Program, I provide parent education, supervised visitations, and in-home child welfare checks for families involved with Child Protective Services. I've also been trained into the Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) Program, which provides various services including psychoeducation, peer support, crisis support, and more. I was hired for this position when schools were shutting down due to COVID, so my job duties fluctuated as mandates and public protocols changed. I began by providing virtual school help and childcare for a cohort of elementary to middle-school-aged children throughout their typical school day. Located in a middle school, I took initiative when diligently following more than ten children's virtual school schedules while simultaneously providing care for other children who were on breaks. This position required very quick thinking, efficient problem-solving, increased responsibility, and advanced multi-tasking skills. Our staff also practiced profound communication with teachers and parents during a time when schooling was very difficult for many people to understand.
