An eight week Work Placement at the Human Resources and Organisational Directorate at Sheffield Hallam University.Roles included;Conducting research for the Equality & Diversity team. A significant research piece was compiling a comparative document on other university action plans for the Athena SWAN silver award along with my own recommendations for the university's silver action plan.Assisting with recruitment, including shadowing an assessment centre at Sheffield Hallam, and organising an assessment centre for an administration role with a fellow placement student. This involved calling candidates to offer a place, and researching available rooms to conduct the assessment centre in.Assisted the Administration team with organising files of former employees and chasing references for current employees.Shadowing meetings with the Policy team to gain insight into Policy formation and development.
