  I took on this role in between my undergraduate and graduate degrees during the uncertainty of the Covid-19 pandemic. My primary role was serving customers, handling money and processing betting slips as they came in. There were strict procedures that needed to be followed in terms of customer safety and addiction regulation, laws surrounding the industry and dealing with large volumes of cash. On top of this, with the changing nature of the pandemic new procedures would need to be implemented on a moments notice.I was trained to a management level meaning that I had extra responsibilities including opening and closing the store, as well as further procedures regarding the effective operation of the shop.
