      The office manager assumes responsibility for certain administrative tasks important to the life of the parish, helps to develop an administrative structure relating to its mission and vision, and provides a central focal point for the overall administration of the parish. In daily tasks, this means responding to or redirecting communications from persons both inside and outside the parish, whether in person or via email, telephone, fax, or social media. The office manager acts as the point of contact for tradespeople, hall and church bookings, including weddings and community events, and those with historical or media-related inquiries. The office manager is also responsible for our non-newspaper advertising, via social media and the design and printing of posters, signs, and other advertising materials. Every week the office manager prepares service and news bulletins for the major services. Due to my experience coding for the web, in my time as office manager I have taken a special interest in the parish website, and on Christmas Eve 2013 I unveiled a redesign of the website that aims to minimize the amount of time spent on updating the website, as well as presenting a more useful and clear interface. (http://www.roundchurch.ca) Finally, the office manager supervises and organizes the St George's Soup Kitchen, coordinating the seventeen+ organizations and hundreds of volunteers that donate food and labour throughout the year.
