Harvested phoretic mites: prepared mites for identification, set them on microscope slides, and sent them off for ID (Received specific training for this task in Pineville, LA). Logged in species after expert identification. Prepared media, plated insects and mites under the hood, and grew various Ceratocystis and Ophiostoma fungal species under aseptic conditions.
