Programs are designed for various age groups, from toddlers in daycare to the elderly.   Collected bark beetles and their associates. Baited and hung traps. Identified and logged in all insects. Harvested phoretic mites: prepared mites for identification, set them on microscope slides, and sent them off for ID (Received specific training for this task in Pineville, LA). Logged in species after expert identification. Prepared media, plated insects and mites under the hood, and grew various Ceratocystis and Ophiostoma fungal species under aseptic conditions. Photographed insects and created databases. Maintained lab with updated safety data sheets, and made lists for supplies to be ordered. Kept lab in neat, orderly, and clean conditions. Show less
