Elis and I worked together after Elis passed on Program Management responsibilities for Bay Area Women's Cycling to me. Her leadership, enthusiasm, and management skills are unparalleled. Elis has the ability to manage multiple projects, ensuring the highest degree of detail to all of her endeavors. She worked closely with executives at the Northern California Nevada Cycling Association to acquire funding for Bay Area Women's Cycling, as well as executives of racing teams throughout the NCNCA district. Elis helped coordinate funding for Bay Area Women's Cycling with various teams throughout the state. Additionally, Elis managed a points series, secured donations from a number of suppliers and individual donors, oversaw distribution of prizes at races in multiple locations, and coordinated celebratory and networking activities in support of the organization. Elis worked tirelessly to support the efforts of Bay Area Women's Cycling. Her dedication and leadership skills were essential to the success of the organization in the time she was Program Manager. She was able to think creatively and to inject her passion into the work she produced for BAWC. Additionally, she is one of the kindest people I know. She would be an amazing asset to any organization, particularly where she could share her leadership abilities with a team.

Elis did more than editing, she inspired me to use my authentic voice and become a better writer. I hired Elis as a freelance editor in 2013 after seeing her writing on Cowbird and The Toast, and she’s completed over 25 flawless projects for me since then. I was particularly impressed by Elis' ability to make sense of some of my weakest arguments and turn them into strong, thought-provoking discussion—effortlessly. She is consistently able to uncover the value and meaning in my sometimes chaotic thought patterns, a skill that I thought would develop over a few years of working together, but it seemed to come perfectly naturally to her. And somehow no matter how demanding the project, she made sure I always left with a smile on my face. Elis would be an incredible asset to any team.
