Elina was a phenomenal data analyst and insights consultant on my team. During her time on my team, I tasked her with learning a new data visualization tool and to create a dashboard for our office's talent development team. Elina was extremely driven and learned very quickly. She brought solid data fundamentals like SQL, python, etc. and also voraciously studied learning materials and reached out to mentors when she needed further help. She built a solution that could sustainably draw data from multiple sources and provide trustworthy insights to support our office's development. The project had a prior iteration, but I encouraged Elina to exercise her own judgment and creativity to propose and create new insights for our target users. I had the great opportunity to be Elina's direct people leader when she was an intern at Slalom. Upon arrival on her first day Elina impressed immediately. She brought an extremely high level of professionalism, intuition and work ethic from day one of her internship with Slalom. Within her first week she took the Power BI Associate Analyst course with ease while having no prior experiencing with a data visualization tool such as this. She was able to pickup many data visualization and dashboarding concepts that are no easy to master. Elina's, core project during her summer internship was developing a learning dashboard for Slalom Global which would be used to track all learning courses available to Slalom employees. She set up recurring standups and demo's with her primary stakeholders on the learning and development team. Managed her own timelines and development workload to meet promised deliverable dates. Elina, showed tremendous attention to detail and precision in all of her work while doing some fairly complex ETL work and Power BI dashboard development while facing various levels of ambiguity to test her intuition and creativity while facing challenges. Throughout the internship program Elina was always a leader within her cohort of other interns and often received recognition for her work from several Slalom senior leaders. Under better market circumstances Elina would have been apart of the Slalom team.
