      As an attendance officer it is my duty to manage attendance on a day to day basis. My main duties are to: - Listen and respond to voicemails from parents. - Insert the correct absence codes from the voicemails/emails received from parents into the register and label it with a description by 10am everyday - Call parents to enquire about unexplained absences - Make sure that teachers are taking their registers and sending them a message to remind them if they do not complete it on time - Ensure that the teachers are taking their registers correctly - Monitor the register and where unusual ‘N’ (unexplained absence) codes appear, alert staff as a safeguarding procedure to determine the location of the child - Clearing all of the ‘N’ codes from the register by the end of the day - Create reports which show the attendance data for that day/week/month and email the figures to the heads of years and other relevant staff - Respond to queries from parents in a calm, friendly and professional manner. - Complete any other admin tasks that are required of me e.g. sending out attendance letters Show less
