Developed of a novel thermal recovery technology for In Situ upgrading of bitumen and heavy oils using a trimetallic (Ni-Mo-W) ultra-dispersed catalysts suspended in Athabasca Vacuum Residue. • Designed, construction and operation of a bench scale unit to demonstrate if with the injection of Vacuum Residue + Catalyst will upgrade the Athabasca bitumen and Vacuum Residue• Gathered and processed pilot plant data to assess the effectiveness of the proposed method and catalyst to upgrade the Athabasca bitumen and Vacuum ResidueThe study demonstrated that the process was able to effectively increase the API gravity, reduce viscosity of the oil in place and upgrades bitumen to reach pipeline specifications.

Reviewed of engineering documents (P&IDs issued for construction, process description, operating manuals, vendor’s RFQ, BOM, etc.) for the Detail Engineering (PDVSA-Oriente Refinery – Expansion Harbour and Storage Capacity) and Basic Engineering (Jose Cryogenic Complex – Electric Emergency System), to comply with the design basis and criteria, and norms and procedures approved for the project• Reviewed scope for work, customer specification and PID’s to create BOM and technical proposal• Supervised and inspected the development of field work • Provided technical support to four interns assigned to the project, maintained design documents and ensured projects were delivered in accordance with engineering specifications• Performed energy and material balances, environmental evaluation and economic analysis • Established process design basis and criteria in conjunction with the client.• Engineering documents completed: H&MB, PFDs, P&IDs, Process Description, and Operating and Control Philosophies.• Review scope for work, customer specification and PID’s to create BOM and technical proposal

Engineering and Construction Department-PDVSADeveloped of basic engineering of the POLIDUCTO RPLC-P / D MATURÍN (SISOR), a pipe with an approximate length of 204 km, from the Puerto La Cruz Refinery, located in Anzoátegui State to the Plant of Maturín Distribution, located in the city of Maturín of Monagas State, for the transport of white fuels (gasoline and diesel) in the East part of the countryProject: Basic and Detail Engineering; Gas Processing Plant - CADAFE-Guanta.
