Bio
Peter Ndiang'ui
It is rare to meet men or women with extensive intellectual depth, love robust debate while maintaining level headedness but conduct their lives with integrity and in the most humble ways. This has been my experience with Elijah for the last 10 years that I have known him. As both a friend and a professional, Elijah has demonstrated a unique but broad set of skills one of them being a deep understanding of healthcare issues from both an academic and practitioner's angle. He has consulted in the Australian health sector and taught in one of the leading universities. At one point he invited my opinion in a consulting project that he was leading to re-design an innovative approach to the mental healthcare practice processes at one of the largest healthcare services provider in Australia. This turned out to be a great learning experience for me. In this engagement, Elijah took a broad approach in framing the problem taking into account a number of perspectives in a highly integrated way; from healthcare economics, Strategy, the clinical practice of mental health and healthcare delivery process innovation. Elijah's outstanding passion and analytical depth on healthcare delivery is a key asset that can help reform the healthcare sector in both the developing world and the developed economies. Elijah is quite passionate about the potential of technology and new business models in healthcare delivery enabled through disruptive innovation. These issues and other broader issues in education and the economy have defined our many debates with Elijah also as a personal friend. I would not hesitate to recommend Elijah to anyone who is looking for an integrated set of skills that can drive healthcare delivery reform.
