The Asher Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is leading the efforts of transforming the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) into an entrepreneurial ecosytem fostering innovations and pioneering ideas. My role as an advisor is helping the center in developing multiple programs such as incubation and acceleration services, building sustainable operations and spearheading the development of an entrepreneurial ecosystem at the USEK university. The UK Lebanon Tech Hub is the leading middle east accelerator program with presence in the UK and partnerships in SV, Paris and Dubai. Its wide mandate covered capacity building activities, funding applied research projects, and providing co-working and incubation support in Lebanon and the UK.The role I played initiated the design, implementation and development of the International Research Center which funded 5 applied research collaborations. Prior to that and as the program manager, I ran multiple accelerator cycles which provided support and business development to 80 startups with collective valuation of USD 200M, equity raised of more than USD 60M and 1250 direct and indirect jobs created. In addition to running their programs, I contributed to growing and expanding the program outreach to markets such as Paris, UAE and SV to provide opportunities and scale to the accelerated startups. My role handled the Kafalat Innovation program which supported innovative startups prior to any VC presence in the market in addition to the assessment of the credit risk of more than 1500 SME applications. In addition to that, the role included coordination and reporting to the Ministry of Economy and Trade, the EU delegation, the World Bank and the OECD.
