While pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at the University of Athens, I had the opportunity to study and collaborate with Elias on several projects. Elias has the gift of natural curiosity to ask the right questions, especially those that will lead directly to the solution of a difficult problem. He is a born problem solver with a admirable mathematical intuition, and possesses the unique ability to quickly grasp very advanced mathematical concepts. Both in programming tasks and mathematical modeling projects, Elias managed to come up with original and innovative solutions. During all the time I have known Elias, it was clear to me that he was driven by "a quest for elegant logical solutions", and that he would continue to work till his goals were achieved and his work met high standards. I had no doubt that he would succeed in his advanced training and career in algorithms, since he was always "wired" to think in a very strict algorithmic way.
