Project Volunteer at Students as Change Agents for Clan Childlaw
-
Jun 2020 - Jul 2020
Participated in a research project through Students as Change Agents, a four-week challenge programme that brings students together to tackle real-world problems set by external experts. Our focus was the reduction of youth homelessness in Scotland, led by the legal charity Clan Childlaw. Throughout the project I was given the opportunity to develop teamwork, problem solving, data analysis and presentation skills. Originally intended to take place in Washington DC, the program was moved online due to travel restrictions. Over the course of the program, I took part in numerous online workshops and gained career insights from talking to UoE alumni across different sectors. I also developed my communication skills through working in a team to produce a report on the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on the environment and renewables sector.
