      I was Head of Section for Internationalization of Education at the University of Bergen. (At leave due to stay in India from 2012-2014). Responsible for staff, HR, budget, and coordination of the staff's work load and the section's responsibilities. The Section is a centre of competence in the internationalization of academic studies and provides support and advice for the various academic environments and other units at the University of Bergen. The section works with recruitment of international students to study programs and courses at the University. The section administers the different programs for the internationalization of higher education in which the University of Bergen participates. This includes the Quota Program, the Erasmus Program, the Erasmus Mundus, the Nordplus and Nordlys networks, the HEC program and the NOMA program.The section ensures that UiB’s emergency response plan for students abroad is followed up. The section is responsible for the administration of the university’s portfolio of bilateral student exchange agreements. It assists the academic environments and others with the renewal and setting up of agreements. The section facilitates international student mobility between the University in Bergen and higher education institutions abroad. It also works with joint degree programs, and offers support and advice in connection with the establishment of joint degrees and joint study programs. Show less
