      Upon my arrival at the company, I identified the company's goals and proceeded to establish the development department: recruiting engineers, characterizing and procuring the necessary computer equipment and CAD software, integrating software for managing and sharing information, and implementing methodical procedures and work practicesI made sure to have an organized and accessible set of documentation to facilitate proper and high-quality development processes.I led detailed design reviews according to the accepted engineering format.I worked together with other departments toward a smooth and optimal transition process from development to production (NPI).The task required of the company's development team was the extremely tight-scheduled positioning of an MVP for growing selected plants inside a basic indoor 40-foot containerWe characterized, designed and built an initial technological demo, in which the product's ability to function optimally was tested and proven.The autonomous growing system was composed of subassemblies that were fully developed by the R&D department:• Characterization and establishment of a new and particularly efficient irrigation and fertilization method, which also included an R/O system.• Definition of the optimal growth lamp (spectrum and intensity/flux) for the defined plants.• Characterization and backup by analysis of the optimal air circulation method for the plants, according to agronomical requirements..• Characterization and definition of the internal air conditioning system in view of the high humidity and temperature requirements throughout the growing cycle (day/night).• Characterization and definition of a system operation plan (SAP) including I/O components for the control planner (subcontractor).• Characterization of planning and execution of the drainage system to collect excess water and remove it from the container, while maintaining a dry and clean floor.
