I operated as the primary, autonomous product owner for a software engineering sprint team building recommendation systems that improved upsell and cross-sell features onsite. I defined a product vision for the cross-sell space, drove alignment around this vision between multiple teams through data driven arguments (SQL analyses), and created OKRs/identified KPIs that aligned to broader company initiatives while creating the product roadmap. Within a year of starting, I was helping Wayfair transition from a tightly coupled, highly manual website to a robust, performant platform that uses data science models to automate workflows & decisions.
