I was originally hired as the head receptionist - the first line of communication with the company's clients when they called in. I transferred their calls, updated their files, sent out emails and faxes, and forwarded messages to the appropriate departments. From there I quickly gained additional responsibilities as content writer and editor. I proofread press releases, website content, and other correspondence in the Customer Care office. I was then promoted to Marketing Specialist, where I was the communications liaison between the Google Business Listing department and the head office. I ran search engine ranking reports and assisted clients with their Google Map listings. Lastly, I became the Head of the new Local SEO department, where I assisted clients with their local marketing concerns, and was continuously helping the company adjust to its growing client base by providing restructuring initiatives within the department.

I was in charge of transcribing Spanish interviews they had filmed in Cuba with locals and translating them into English. I also translated letters of correspondence with new potential interview subjects from English to Spanish, and provided additional cultural information through research and personal insights.   The Open Source Cinema Project is the brainchild of Brett Gaylor, a documentary filmmaker based in Victoria, British Columbia. He was assisted by the Intermedia stream of Concordia University's Communication Studies department in creating a rotoscoped animation of a Girl Talk music video to use in his documentary, RiP: Remix Manifesto.
