  In my current position as a Kitchen Sales Designer I have the opportunity to provide creative and beautiful solutions for customers who are seeking to update tired or impractical kitchens. My responsibilities start with welcoming customers into the showroom, listening to and capturing their requirements and discussing what problems their current kitchen presents, in order to suggest and discuss various solutions. Using extensive product and process knowledge, I will guide the customer through the design process, ensuring they understand the quality of the available products and the myriad options available to them, while helping them to narrow down and refine their choices and selections. With this information, together with each customer, I develop and showcase beautiful and practical designs using 3D CAD software so they are able to envision their kitchen within hours of our first consultation. Day-to-day administrative tasks are geared towards organisation, accuracy and efficiency and include managing calendars when booking in design consultations and home measures, conducting thorough plan checks on my own orders and that of my colleagues, updating orders to accurate home measures and ensuring that customers are contacted regularly to ensure timescales are met and deliveries are booked in time. As customer requirements can be ever evolving, regular contact and organisation is key to ensuring that no detail is missed, minimising potential errors and maximising customer satisfaction post-sale and post-delivery.   Alongside my full-time employment and education, I have pursued commission based and part time roles in graphite-based art and Interior Design. This has enabled me to refine and develop my technical and conceptual skills in areas such as pencil drawing, AutoCAD and Interior Design, while also providing me with invaluable experience in understanding and interpreting a client’s needs and briefs. By doing this I have learnt to confidently ensure clients can achieve a creative or interior design vision by knowledgeably advising them on a broad range of issues from selecting a colour scheme or design style down to choosing appropriate soft furnishings and finishes. To further my knowledge and experience I studied for a Diploma in Interior Design from the Interior Design Institute while working at 4it Recruitment and have continued my studies with an advanced module in AutoCAD.
