Over the years I have worked with Elaine on a number of projects including two conferences which she organized on the ideas and work of the leaders of the British and American Arts and Crafts movement. For a major hotel project in Iowa, she was the consultant on their arts and crafts furnishings of several of the private and public rooms. And more recently we have worked together at the Museum of Biblical Art in New York City where as a Board member and Chairman of the Awareness Committee we have an opportunity to expand the reach of this institution. She is imaginative, creative, thorough and fun - qualities I value highly.

Elaine is one of the most creative and knowledgeable people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. She's also highly organized and industrious and she won't stop until the job is done. On top of all that, she's a very caring person. I give Elaine my very highest recommendation.

Founded Arts & Crafts Tours in 1992 to examine the roots of the Arts & Crafts Movement where they began, in Britain. Her international associations have ensured that every tour – whether for an organization, group of friends, or especially planned individual travel itinerary – will be a unique, educational, and fun experience and they have earned the company high praise in this specialized field.

Since 1992 we have organized and developed travel programs and itineraries for arts and community organizations, and for individuals and small groups that examine the fine art, architecture, decorative arts and culture of the 19th and 20th centuries. These are highly focused, very specialized trips which provide exceptional access to private collections and homes and behind the scenes visits to museums. Groups are always accompanied by scholars, curators, and a variety of experts. Our trips are primarily to Britain and we have done programs that take us to Europe, Scandinavia and throughout the United States.

The Art Workers Guild was begun in 1884 in Britain to recognize the importance of the designer and the maker of art and craft. The leading members of the Arts and Crafts Movement were Brothers and I am particularly honored to have become an Associate Brother and have the opportunity of meeting so many of the leading craft workers who are making art today.
