We are the UK’s leading membership organisation in the legal sector that provides a range of services designed exclusively for legal finance professionals and legal management professionals, such as legal cashiers, accounts managers, Compliance Officers for Finance and Administration (COFAs) and practice managers, as well as sole practitioners who deal with these roles.By raising awareness of undisputable affordable membership we hope to bring new members on board whilst rolling out geographical f2f forums, more training (with incredible tutors); online back-up and support together under with Conferences and Events with a whole host of partnerships. The ILFM is a NOT for PROFIT organisation. It is all about helping legal finance bods receive the best training and support - they are often the employees of a legal firm in the firing squad for compliance. Legal cashiers and bookkeepers deserve great respect for being the risk manager and compliance gatekeepers. Finance teams are the linchpin of a legal firm and it a pleasure for me, to be able to work with the ILFM to make a difference.

Knights Professional Services bought out Darbys and the Legal Network still continues with a great team and success with David Beech at the helm. I was part of a team that managed the development and lead generation of the business through client relationships, whilst marketing its brand and supporting the Network member firms' own brand too.The Legal Network embraces a non-poaching policy for any clients referred to us, which means –• You retain your client• We won’t take on a second matter for that client without your express permission• We won’t actively market to your client As a member of the Network, law firms can enjoy various benefits, including free CPD seminars in various legal and practice management subjectsThe Legal Network is used as an umbrella service to support SMEs, which I have a total passion for.

    • Marketing Executive
      • 1992 - 1995

Executive to Senior Divisional Director in a Marketing Department within this prestigious PR company, which specialised in marketing, corporate and public affairs. I maintained relations with clients and their public; case study research and preparation, account budgeting and database upkeep. My role was to organise press briefings, photocalls, competitions and promotions and I had a key press office role on a major pan European campaign for Eurotunnel Freight and Car Passenger, which involved compiling press packs, distribution of invitations, organisation of photography, catering, logistics and interviews. Heavily involved in press releases and brainstorming meeting. Last minute press releases had to be typed with the highest degree of accuracy, as they would often appear in national newspapers the next morning. Liaison with designers, printers, photographers and translators, often on a daily basis. Discretion and confidentiality was a must. My accounts, apart from Eurotunnel, were Golden Wonder, FAB, The Tea Council amongst many others.
