· Receive the claim and review claim for next steps. · Make first contact, introduce myself, and inform of basic policy details, provide an update, and inform of the next steps. · Perform on the phone with the insured a mini phone inspection. This way I can provide additional helpful information to the field adjuster assigned. · Assign loss to the field for inspection. · Adjust the loss after received back from QA file review. · Issue first payment, supplement payment, and request file authority if needed. · After payment is requested, contact the insured to discuss the claim, and next steps. · Ensure prior to conclusion of the settlement call, that all needs, and questions have been successfully answered to the insured’s satisfaction. · The same process would apply to the supplements. Prior to submission to payment, or authority, I would contact the contractor, to make any revisions. Once we all agree, it is submitted to authority, or payment is issued, and closing call is completed. Show less
