This way I can provide additional helpful information to the field adjuster assigned. · Assign loss to the field for inspection. · Adjust the loss after received back from QA file review. · Issue first payment, supplement payment, and request file authority if needed. · After payment is requested, contact the insured to discuss the claim, and next steps. · Ensure prior to conclusion of the settlement call, that all needs, and questions have been successfully answered to the insured’s satisfaction. · The same process would apply to the supplements. Prior to submission to payment, or authority, I would contact the contractor, to make any revisions.
