  Responsible for overseeing and advising on all Occupational Health related matters for all of the sites in UK & Ireland. A large part of my role has been to create guidelines bridging the gap between Schlumberger’s Worldwide Standards and UK HSE Legislation. Recent projects include Hand & Arm Vibration, our compliance with the Control of Vibration in the Workplace Regs 2005 and subsequent solutions. Currently working on improvements to the pre-placement medical system – to ensure that we gather adequate baseline data for new employees and that we provide robust Health Surveillance to existing employees. Since 2007 I have been the focal point for PPE with the company (firstly North Sea Geomarket and latterly the UK and Ireland). Role involves – technical support to locations, selection and tender process to find new UK Vendor in 2011. I was involved in the campaign to promote lace up footwear within the UK Oil Industry in 2007 and have a good working knowledge of historic and current PPE issues and trends within the UK Oil and Gas sector. 2013 has seen the introduction of a new Schlumberger PPE initiative on a worldwide scale and im currently working with the UK locations to support this.

  HSE Advisor for Well Services UK, based in Aberdeen; advising the Well Services Support team, Coiled Tubing, Pumping Services and Cementing groups, all based in the Westhill facility. Also working with the Big Orange XVIII Stimulation Vessel in Montrose. For a period of time I supported the Danish Well Services team from their base in Esbjerg. In 2007 I was part of a team that received commendation from the both the client and the Schlumberger Europe, Caspian & Africa Area VP for our work with Schlumbergers first FlexSTIM vessel – this project was a first for both parties and involved creation of a Stimulation Vessel from scratch using equipment, materials and personnel from all corners of the globe. Schlumberger self audit their management system and I trained as a lead auditor in 2004, I have been involved in many Internal Management Audits and also am confident at Supplier Auditing. Well Services holds both ISO 9001 and 14001 Certification, I was heavily involved with the preparation for the audits, implementation of any remedial work plans suggested by the auditing body, and regular maintenance of systems and paperwork to ensure the certifications are upheld.
