It's rare to see people leveraging the capabilities of the c-suite. I've been working closely with Ela during my time as Head of Commercial Finance at Free Now, seeing her contribution to projects I led as well as projects she owned. From what I can tell, Ela has been involved in literally every strategic decision and project within the organisation; including but not limited to post-merger-integration, new market/product launches and strategy development. She contributed to their success by coordinating large numbers of diverse stakeholders, moderating heated discussions across all hierarchy-levels and making valuable contributions to the discussed topic - regardless if finance-, operations-, marketing-, HR-, or tech-related. She built a trusted relationship with the c-suite and other (senior) leadership team members, smoothing what without her might have become roadblocks in the way of vital business decisions. Building on this foundation she delivered a complex project of implementing consistent success-KPIs across 11 markets, 3 tech-hubs and multiple HQ-functions. Having seen her impact on the business and the c-suite will make me certainly miss her in any organisation I'll ever work in.
