I taught students between the ages of 14 and 16 how to program a prebuilt LEGO EV3 robot in the LEGO EV3 drag and drop programming software in order to have the robot navigate a playmat with various coloured markings and a wall as obstacles. The purpose of the activity was to teach the children how to program the various sensors of the robot (colour and infrared), and allow them to understand how the practical application of programming differs from the theoretical program. I developed my teaching and communication skills whilst also improving upon my teamwork abilities through working with various different partners. Show less
