During our four years at St. Ignatius High School, I got to know Eric very well. Eric was always an exemplary student; one that went above and beyond simply getting good grades. However, the thing that set Eric apart from everyone else was his work ethic and drive. I have never met a person more committed to reaching their personal goals. Eric and I played on the same lacrosse team in high school, and this is where I saw the drive that he possessed. Not only would he give it his all in practice, but he spent countless hours off the field working on his skills. He did all this amidst a heavy courseload (littered with honors and AP classes) and a deep involvement with the Christian Action Team (our high school's service organization). Eric was not only a leader on the field, but also off the field. This is where i really saw Eric step into his role as a team captain and exemplify the unique personal and leadership qualities he embodied. Whenever someone on the team seemed to be struggling, Eric was always there to lend a helping hand and work with that person on their skills. I know this because I frequently went to Eric with questions about the offense/defense, help with stick skills, etc. I am proud to call Eric one of my best friends and highly recommend him.
