I first met Ekaterina last year whilst studying at TAFE where we are both currently completing our Advanced Diploma of Management in Human Resources. In the short period of time that I have known Ekaterina, I have found her to be sincere, empathetic and approachable. She possesses great communication skills and is supportive of the wider cohort. In my role as Operations Manager I worked closely with Ekaterina Tabbernal at Northern Metropolitan Cemetery Trust (NMCT) from April 2013 – May 2014. I always found her to be extremely diligent and proactive in her role as HR Manager. The HR role in a cemetery/crematoria business is wide and varied being that you are regularly dealing with many situations from employee relations in the workplace, compliance with HR policies including WHS and other employee related aspects. Ekaterina was HR Manager responsible for all 5 NMCT locations with recruitment, induction, performance appraisals, management reporting, preparing and implementing HR strategies whilst ensuring employee involvement in proposed developmental changes.
