Had the opportunity to work with Professor Matilde Marcolli and some of her graduate students for a couple of summers and my junior year. We were exploring different ways to represent a mathematical object called the Bruhat-Tits tree in the hyperbolic plane, which is a curved space that's like the surface of a saddle.

Began working under the supervision of graduate student (at the time) Saif al Qassim. Eventually demonstrated sufficient competence to tackle my own projects, and work directly with the PI Prof. Mario A. Bianchet. Won Intel STS 2015 semifinalist as a result of my work during this time, and helped publish two paper in collaboration with other colleagues.
