Having professionally spent many enjoyable years in the Hospitality industry and noting the transferable skills I acquired, I took the decision to expand my business management skills to a new industry. As of September 2021, I started a new role with Sigma Homes in Cork. At Sigma Homes, our company mission is to produce architecturally designed, high quality additions to our clients’ homes. We achieve this by keeping the customer at the centre of everything we do. As the Office and Sales Manager for Sigma Homes, my role and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Supporting the CEO in running the business, ad hoc duties as required. Sales calls on potential projects of €120K - €1M. Efficient follow up with potential clients with the aim of securing booking deposits. Coordination between secured sales and the Construction Diary. Responsible for building strong relationships with clients. Ensuring that clients move seamlessly and efficiently through our in-house client journey from initial design consultation to home handover. Managing and updating our CRM system ZOHO. Maintaining internal workloads and cross coordinating customer, employee appointments. Clients follow up post-handover. Delegating tasks to Senior Management, hosting, and minuting weekly Team Meetings (Construction Meetings & Design and Tendering Meetings). Social Media and marketing coordination with external stakeholders, along with monitoring website traffic and progress. Human Resource administration, attracting, selecting, and hiring new employees. Monitoring current staff performance and implementing SOPs to achieve departmental targets.

      • Dec 2016 - Aug 2021

In 2016 I was originally employed as a Duty Manager as part of a team of four Senior Managers. My role included the overall running of the hotel on a day-to-day basis. My primary focus was putting in place updated and relevant SOPs for each department and staff training including Supervisory training. Over the first 12 months of my professional career in The Killarney Oaks Hotel, I concentrated on Wedding sales, wedding shows both in house and externally and building rapport with current and upcoming couples. I also concentrated on updating the wedding packages and conducting price comparisons to outline competitive pricing for the years going forward, with the Director. By this time, I was fully involved in weddings and hotel events, such as charity fashions shows and other larger scale Events, including the Kerry Division of An Garda Siochana, Black Tie Gala Ball. During my time in the hotel, the Management Team changed a number of times and being the longest running manager in house, acting as a Deputy General Manager, presented me with the opportunity to train new Managers in, both to the day to day running of the business and wedding sales and consultancy. As my daily responsibilities grew, I was responsible for a number of projects, such as, changing over websites, taking over social media and concentrating on online growth as well as dealing with all customer feedback forums, both online and in person. Over the last few years, and in particular over the course of the Pandemic, I took personal responsibility in prioritizing staff retention, hosting appraisals, offering external and internal training courses and consistent staff check ins, with regular updates on hospitality restrictions and reopening dates and forwarding good content on mental health and wellbeing.
