  Working with new teachers has inspired my interest in the value of coaching/ mentoring in developing new teachers. This role involves not only coaching student teachers but also supporting the mentors they work with. I bring my knowledge and experience of communication skills and use this to coach and encourage an open, professional dialogue with the people I work with including some very difficult conversations. As a lead link tutor, I have offered mentor training to schools; quality assurance meetings; new link tutor training and moderation of both the University online assessment platform and final gradings.
