    • Creative and Executive Director
      • May 2019 - Present

I founded Farewell Toronto in 2019 as an answer to disposable design that leaves clients unsatisfied with their objects. My design house creates pieces that are deeply satisfying aesthetically and ethically, will last for generations, and that embrace cradle-to-cradle planning to promote a new way of thinking about what we buy and how we use things. As Creative and Executive Director, I oversee all production and marketing operations and manage all financial and legal affairs for my firm. I deploy strategic planning insights to make innovative production methods feasible. I direct our marketing approach as one that uses effective storytelling to promote a new relationship between clients and their designed objects. And, I lead a phenomenal design and production team to achieve full transparency and sustainability across every stage of production. My team is compensated at ethical rates that embrace and recognize the value of their contributions towards bringing our ideas into reality. Ultimately, Farewell Toronto is here to tell a story that brings hope and agency to the design industry as it confronts historical inequities and climate crisis. My approach to my role is informed by seven years of teaching design theory at OCAD University and by a deep committment to social and ecological justice.
