• Led and directed the strategic planning and operations of Mercy Hospital; a not-for-profit Catholic health care organization comprised of 100 occupied (230 licensed) beds, 1300 FTEs including 150 FTE employed providers, and twelve care locations; net revenue of $200M. • Skillfully initiated, managed, and monitored Mercy Health System of Maine ownership transfer to Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems to create an accountable care infrastructure and facilitate access to capital. • Executed a definitive agreement to integrate Mercy Health System of Maine, including VNA Home Health and Hospice, into Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems, with closing of the transaction taking place following state approval and issuance of Certificate of Need. Facilitated implementation of shared services models in finance, human resources, information technology, supply chain, and quality. • Completed building construction and opening of Phase I of Mercy Fore River, an $85 million total hospital replacement project, having obtained a Certificate of Need; provided leadership for the $15M Fore River Project capital campaign exceeding goal by $1M; obtained commitment for lead gift of $6M in second capital campaign. • As President and CEO, grew net revenue from $100M to $230M over the course of eight years. • Developed a cardiology model with a major competitor under Federal Trade Commission and state Attorney General supervision, recruited numerous specialty practices into an effective employment model, implemented an integrated hospitalist/physician extender service, and completed a primary care network plan with 45 providers in satellite practices throughout the Mercy primary service area. • Initiated bundled pricing, and an efficient and streamlined process for comparative data analysis for the Mercy Orthopaedic Institute.
