  I lead a team of internationally-based editors and designers to produce a biannual arts and culture print magazine. Based in the UK and US, Boshemia is a feminist magazine that amplifies the creative work of women, non-binary folks, and the LGBTQ+ community. As part of Boshemia’s creative community engagement, I produce and teach creative writing workshops in the US and UK. I oversee the editorial and design teams, curate and edit content, and contribute writing (pop-culture journalism, reviews, and personal essays) to the print magazine and website.   The mission of Rainbow Pride Youth Alliance is to provide a safe, healthy, and enriching environment for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, and intersex (LGBTQI) youth of the Inland Empire. As a teaching artist, I organize creative workshops and lead support groups for LQBTQI+ youth that promote resilience, skill-building, and creative expression. I educate youth (11-18 years old) and TAYs (transition age youth 18-25) about harm reduction, best mental health practices, and how to regulate mental health and facilitate self-expression through creative writing and art. Using skills gained from studying Narrative Medicine under Professor Allison Hedge Coke, I promote and encourage emotional wellness through artistic expression.
