UI's Delegate for ICC Moot Court Competition 2022

The International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition (hereinafter referred as ICCMCC) is an annual international moot court competition on international criminal law. This year's ICCMCC deals with the case of Prosecutor v Agon Megor, mainly on issues of temporal jurisdiction, Crimes Against Humanity of Murder, Extermination, and Ohter Inhumane Acts, as well as War Crimes, evidence, and Victims Legal Representation Eileen participated as an oralist for the Victims' Counsel, representing numerous groups of victims of the case. Eileen dealt extensively with issues such as victims participation in international court proceeding, the status of pirates in times of war and peacetime, appointment of separate victims counsel, and other general issues pertaining International Criminal Law and International Humanitarian Law. In the preparation as an oralist, she also participated as a researcher for the team's pleading preparation and legal memorial drafting. The team's achievements are as follow: - Quarter-finalist - Ranked 14th out of 74 teams (global round) - 20th for Victims' Counsel Oralist - 6th for Victims' Counsel Memorial, 21st for Defense, 47th for Prosecution - 10th for Prosecution team, 14th for Victims Counsel, 33rd for Prosecution Show less
