Ehmer is a talented and hardworking student who also has a great positive attitude. Ehmer has an ability to read, summarize, and analyze scientific literature that is really exceptional for an undergrad. I repeatedly assigned him difficult papers to read that he reported on in an accurate and insightful manner. His ability to learn and execute benchwork skills is similarly excellent. He learned new skills with ease and performed reliably when assigned experiments. In addition to his talents, he has enthusiasm and a strong work ethic, and he works effectively both as an individual and with others. All these qualities combine to make Ehmer a talented young scientist who would be a valuable addition to a team.
