I led a team of young, vibrant SDGs enthusiasts in my state (Abia State, Nigeria) under the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN Youth) to plan and execute awareness campaigns for the SDGs:- 3 Good Health and Wellbeing,- 13 Climate ActionWe introduced the 17 goals to selected secondary schools in our community, hosted a 2-day webinar series to enlighten the public on the relevance of the SDGs and the roles they can play in their actualisation.To wrap up the program, we conducted a one day Cleanup exercise at the most popular market in our community and sensitized the traders on the need to maintain cleanliness.We also distributed free waste disposal bags to them.It was an awesome experience! My most exciting moment in this role so far was when I helped to plan and execute our first free medical outreach as a foundation on the 26th of December, 2023; the first of its kind in the community. I set up a team of health professionals and supervised the basic health assessment and laboratory screening of 200 beneficiaries and also delivered a health talk on well-being preservation. I am currently a member of the programs development department.
