I work directly under the supervision of a qualified Journeyman Electrician in installing or maintaining a variety of approved wiring methods for distribution of electrical light, heat, power, radio, and signaling utilization systems. The work is performed in existing or new residential, commercial and industrial buildings and includes street and highway lighting, traffic signal and other outdoor above and below grade installations. Typically during the term of the apprenticeship 8000 hours on the job for a five year program with various electrical contractors is required. In addition too attending school for 800 hours during the five (5) year period.

Performing irrigation system repair, which consists of the troubleshooting, diagnosis, and removal and replacement of faulty/broken valves, solenoids, and piping throughout irrigation systems. Aeration is designed to create holes in the soil in order to help lawn grasses grow. In compacted lawns, aeration improves soil drainage and encourages worms, microfauna and microflora which require oxygen. As a Airframe Quality Assurance Representative, I undertook the responsibility of leading and supervising the night shift of the Airframes work shop. As a Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative (CDQAR), I screened and certified final inspections of maintenance actions in accordance with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2C aircraft manual. CDQAR also consisted of troubleshooting, removing, replacing, and repairing various dynamic and structural components critical to mission success. As a CDQAR, I held the responsibility of removing, replacing, and troubleshooting all flight critical components of the CH-53E Helicopter.Improvised actions during troubleshooting of helicopter start up to reach 100% functionality, therefore being able to complete the mission at hand due to on-the-spot repair of components.
