This customer located on 5th Avenue, Manhattan (and a factory in Malaysia) was experiencing outages and issues related to the departure of their IT lead, and possible Intellectual Property and Data Loss. The customer was running in a mostly AWS server environment and running Office Servers On Premise which were nearing end of life. I was contacted and assisted them in setting up a disaster plan to validate and mitigate any information security breaches, to document the current state of their environment, and to regain access to systems that had been locked out to the company. Together we worked with their legal team, a 3rd party local IT vendor, and the management to chart a course forward for the company. Microsoft's Office 365 was selected as a platform the company could grow on, the ailing Exchange 2010 server was Migrated to Exchange Online, SharePoint Online was set up, a proof of concept solution was created to prototype the solutions that could no longer be maintained on AWS. They contacted by me as recommended by their License Reseller to help guide them through the process and to define a roadmap forward. Together we reviewed their current state, defined a plan to successfully migrate their users to a different Tenant (GCC), selected the necessary tools to use for the Migration, set up the New Tenant, messaged the end users, migrated the content, updated the DNS, and successfully completed the Migration on time and on budget without failures or issues along the way.
