      I teach English and Swedish to future professionals in Interpreting, NGO and Youth Work, and Cultural Management, both live and online. I have excellent skills in both online and classroom teaching. I created my first online courses about ten years before the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2020, I created my first fully automated English courses: they have been a success and received outstanding student feedback. However, the majority of my courses are still based on real-time human interaction, and I have created a number of action-based, participatory methods to be used both online and in the classroom. My superpower as a language teacher is the ability to engage and inspire students and to make them enthusiastic about languages. I love grammar, as language teachers often do, but the emphasis in my pedagogy is elsewhere.During my years at Humak, I have also done project work related to activity-based learning (ABL) and interpreting in minority languages (Finland-Swedish and Finland Swedish Sign Language). As I am a trained translator, I also do translation projects for our university's degree programmes and projects.
