Edwin is an excellent colleague. He displays professionalism and has the highest of expectations at all times. He is extremely diligent and a great collaborator. He can lead well in addition to taking direction. He always meets deadlines and is both creative and logical. I would recommend Edwin without hesitation.

While covering maternity at Glasgow Caledonian University I worked with the digital agency Penna to manage and coordinate all of the University’s paid media campaigns, from the strategy to the execution and optimisation. • Oversaw a budget of over 400K+ delivering ads to over 25 countries on channels including Facebook, Instagram, Google Search, YouTube and display.• Led the content strategy and delivery for both video and image ads, ensuring content was tailored for the diverse channels and target markets.• Led business intelligence meetings on a biweekly basis with 8+ stakeholders including account managers, senior leadership and others. Here, I’d lead a discussion around optimisation opportunities for the various campaigns, channels and courses. Student recruitment has a very long pipeline, often over a year, and with many touchpoints, so reporting involved collating a lot of data sets and visualising it for stakeholders who may not be from an analytics background.• Employed A/B testing on copy, assets, landing pages, audiences and more which led to a strong reduction of CPAs over the year.

nkoda is an app that offers sheet music on subscription with over 100,000 titles from world leading publishers. As a startup it raised over 6 million in its first year. Typically for a startup the role was varied, and I got to work across all parts of the business including B2B and B2C markets. • Produced eye-catching video and image content for both B2B and B2C markets, including animated product videos, live action shoots for paid media and organic socials, print materials and more.• Worked on paid socials improving the clickthrough from 1% to 2% by testing messaging and content.• Managed paid media campaigns on Google Ads, social channels, Apple Search Ads and more. This involved: o building out the campaign structures in the backend of the various platforms.o reporting on ad performance to leadership on a daily basis and managing ad optimisation.o overseeing audience targeting, utilising insight tools and testing to find our most engaged audience.• Worked closely with the data analyst to build the Power BI dashboard used at insight meetings informing company-wide strategy.• Led a retention strategy that reduced churn by: optimising the app onboarding flow, deploying an email nurture track targeting disengaged users, and utilising remarketing on social media.

At ABRSM I devised and implemented product marketing campaigns using the marketing mix. When managing the launch campaign for the new guitar syllabus, I led a team of 8 in planning the strategy for what was one of the biggest product launches of the year. This campaign saw the highest ever social engagement in the organisation’s history. Other successful campaigns I have managed include doubling the downloads targeted for our sight-reading app and implementing the use of Facebook Live within the organisation. I have also implemented email campaigns that have achieved open rates of over 60%. I utilised insight tools such as Power BI, Google Analytics to inform campaign planning and as a confident and experienced digital marketer I regularly used tools such as Adobe CC, Google AdWords, Hootsuite and email marketing platforms. As a creative I have commissioned assets for campaigns that include our most successful ever video content, examples of which can be seen here https://bit.ly/2SZrUNp. Other creative work I have led on at ABRSM includes design for print and web and our successful series of app ads which I designed myself on Adobe CC.
