As a basketball coach, it was my responsibility to ensure the growth of a team of 10 boys throughout their play in the local basketball league. Devising various training plans and game plans, I was able to assist the boys to achieve great improvements in their basketball skills. In addition, due to the mentor-like nature of being a coach, I also managed to assist the players in navigating their educational journeys by assisting with advice from my personal experience. Took on the role of a peer mentor to help guide a group of 5 younger students through their transition from primary school to high school. This involved bi-weekly updates and ensuring that they excelled in not only their academics but also their social lives.
