      Micron Technology, Inc. is an American producer of computer memory and computer data storage products. My main responsibility as an Automation Software Engineer is to develop and maintain manufacturing applications (which interact with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and process equipment) to automate material delivery, material processing and data collection from the process equipment. Host automation applications are programmed using Tcl, while Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) applications are programmed using Perl. Both types of applications are event driven and run on RedHat OS. My team collaborate with a world wide automation software team, local IT personnel and manufacturing stakeholders (e.g Equipment and Process Control engineers) to develop the required features for Micron Fabs worldwide to run efficiently with minimal human intervention.
