We also successfully gained government funding in excess of $5.2 million AUD to assist with project costs, and the impact of our work has only continued to grow. Specialty Air was an industry leader, focusing on energy reduction and compressed air management at a time when the industry was only just beginning to acknowledge the importance of carbon footprints and see the benefits of sound energy management. From 2005 to 2009 the company grew rapidly from a small operation to a team of 26, supporting clients from over 400 industrial companies across Australia. During my time as CEO and Engineering Director Specialty Air pioneered compressed air efficiency in Australia with the development of Ultrasonic Leak Detection and Compressed Air Flow and Energy Demand Surveys. We also worked closely with HACCP Australia to develop a compressed air quality system for the food industry.
