I am the District Sales Manager for Reliable Parts, and we are the second largest appliance parts distributor in the United States. My personal territory is Utah and Colorado. I am also responsible for managing a sales team that covers Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Oklahoma, North Texas, and the surrounding states in the Midwest.

My responsibility at Reliable Parts is to take care of our customers. That will be done through visiting them, making strategic phone calls and taking the correct amount of time to make sure the customer understands the services extended to them by Reliable Parts. Through these visits, and follow up phone calls, I will take care of any issues that may arise, and follow through until the customer is happy with the service being provided them. My territory includes Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, and Northern Nevada. I've been impressed by the direction of this industry, our customers, and especially our company. Show less

I represented 15 different Larry H. Miller Dealerships in Utah. Daily tasks included visiting mechanic shops, body shops, fleets, and parts stores and communicating with the parts managers at each store, with each of them having a very different agenda. I trained the customers on online parts lookups, and kept them up to date on any rebates, or new information from the manufacturers. I traveled around Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming and covered 7 territories. Our team of outside parts reps retained customers, and during year 2015, parts sales hit records in 10 of the 12 months. Another facet of the job was working with the shipping and receiving departments and coordinating with them on returns and damaged parts. Show less

My job at Fairway was to service the 1500 accounts in the valley in such a way to maximize sales. Some of the larger accounts I saw twice a month, but for the most part I visited the shops and fleets once a quarter. I created a professional relationship with each customer over a 16 year period in Las Vegas. A major part of my job here in Las Vegas was planning, and implementing training classes for our customers. Over the last decade I put on 20 classes where I planned, invited the customers, emceed, and followed up with all attendees with certificates of completion. Show less

Until the dealership closed in 2008, my responsibilities included contacting 16-20 shops per day, and also to coordinate the deliveries when the shipping and receiving department needed help. I expanded the total sales each year, and didn't sacrifice percentages, as many of our competitors were doing to get the business. I sell service, not price. Resolving customer complaints was a major part of my responsibility. Being the face of the dealership was something I took very seriously. Most customers never came to the dealership, so the personal relationships I built with the shops was key to keeping our customers buying from us. Show less

My territory included Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, and Montana. I maintained a data base with the corporate offices in California when the company was sold to 1-800 Radiator. I developed continual growth in the area through prospecting, despite a rapid increase of new competition. With huge territories to cover, my time management and prioritization skills came to the forefront. Problem solving was a daily concern, and I communicated daily with the home office, which helped to keep our customers our customers. Show less
