I recruited Ed when we were looking for a lead developer / head of engineering at vzaar. After a long search, when we met Ed, we knew we had found the right person. Ed is someone who was not only a great engineer and developer, but a team builder, guide and coach. With Ed we were able to build a fantastic team that was able to make step change improvements to the vzaar platform. Ed is the kind of person you want leading your engineering team. He is someone who cares as much for the people working for him, as for the quality of the code and development that team produces. Ed is one of the people who gets that a team working well, produces quality outputs. I watched Ed mentor members of the company both in and out of his team, and it was personally gratifying to watch engineers under his guidance, mature and grow. Any team would be lucky to have Ed. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire or work with him in the future.

The platform delivers in excess of 30TB of video playback data daily, handling in excess of 20 million requests per day. In addition to hands-on development, I also work closely with our CTO and project manager to design, specify and prioritise work based on the current and long-term business needs.
