There are only a handful of people whom I would recommend without any reservations. Ned and I were partner on a few of the most difficult projects that CMU ever threw at any students, and he excelled at every one. Not only is he a competent engineer, but his work ethic, style, communications skills, conflict resolution skills, and foresight are unparalleled by anyone else I've ever worked with. Should you have the opportunity to hire Ned, you should take it right away. Whether it's debugging the microcode embedded deep inside of Intel's most advanced microprocessor, or finding the most pernicious of software bugs in tens of thousands of C++ code, he's the man for the job.
