I first met him at South Delta Secondary School, as an official refereeing a considerable number of his games, when he was coaching the senior girls' basketball team to many provincial tournament appearances. He is diligent, conscientious, personable and respectful. In retrospect, my experiences with Ed were always positive. In my opinion, he is a stalwart among any people I have been involved with in my 40 years of community and school sport.
