Covering Indonesia arts and culture, Indonesian food review, Indonesian-Australian round table discussion and language award ceremony, I believe in transparent, honest and accurate journalistic practice that benefits and promotes cohesiveness and public knowledge. I choose Indonesian art and culture, food review and round table discussion as my focus coverage in order to raise more public awareness of Indonesian culture in Melbourne. I strongly believe in the importance of bilateral collaboration between the two powerhouses of Asia Pacific. One of the ways to achieve closer collaboration and understanding is through language. The rich cultural and social nuance captured in the lexical difference is expressive of our different and beautiful lifestyle. I wish to facilitate this by promoting more language exchange news and coverage in the mainstream media and promote more language exchange between Indonesia and Australia. Show less

      • Jun 2018 - Nov 2018

Working alongside four ambitious student consultants, we were tasked with addressing our client's concern in their changing organizational focus. To do this, I schedule interviews with different stakeholders on their personal views of the focal shift and asked for their own inputs on how they wish to see the company grow. I then matched their vision with research papers and case studies to gauge the feasibility of implementing their vision into the company's short-term and long-term strategy. I also kept in mind that every stakeholder's view of the organization should be considered in order to come up with the best recommendations. Every week, the team and I brief our client on ongoing research and what the team has gathered from the weekly interview. Show less

The biennial Indonesian Satay Festival features unique cuisine and uncontested artistic performances. It aims to infuse Indonesian and Australian culture through various delicacies and traditional performances. Hosted the event together with my partner MC, Made Utari Rimayanti, in 2017. I was again invited to host the festival in 2018. During the festival, I was tasked with introducing the cultural aspect of the different performances and fashion. During the festival, I had to speak in both English and Bahasa Indonesia to better address the need for different guests. I was also responsible for the performers' backstage preparation and movement. This enriching experience has taught me more about my own country's culture and how to be a better communicator both onstage and offstage. Show less
